Rats living in the garages. Behind my refrigerator mice. And pet deposits there do not account for anything. When I moved out I still owed $4000 for 30 year old carpet.
Alot of drug activity there too.
If you live here be careful there security only makes rounds every hour.

Maintenance always answers as quickly as I need them and they are always very nice which I hear is pretty rare. They aren't sort fancy, but they are nice for the cost.

Overall, these apartments are OK. You get what you pay for. I've been here almost 3 years now, but only in the name of saving money.
Pros:
1. Location. Just off 72nd street right off the interstate. You can get just about anywhere in the city fairly quickly. I'm actually planning on moving to another apartment in the area when I leave here.
2. Maintenance. If you call the office in the morning, they'll likely get to you in the same day. They clean up after themselves and leave a note saying they... were there and what they did.
3. Staff. This used to be a con, because the property manager was never in the office. There's a new manager now who is very nice and almost always available.
Cons:
1. Age. These apartments were built in the 70's and are showing their age. There's general shabbiness just about everywhere you look, inside and outside the apartments. The appliances make weird noises, and the light in my oven flickered on and off so often I was convinced it was haunted. The drains in the bathroom don't work very well. There seems to be a little bit of mold in the vents. And there's a slight musty smell that I fear will never adequately leave my possessions.
2. Neighbors. People are incredibly loud here. I've had at least 6 new neighbors (upstairs, across the hall, etc.) in the time I've been here and none of them are what you could call quiet. The walls are also paper-thin. I'm supposed to be in a no-smoking building as well, but you'd never know. People also seem to be incapable of parking straight between parallel lines, and my poor car's accumulated a lifetime's worth of door dings.
3. Crime. About a month after I moved in, my car window was broken out and the car was ransacked. At the time, I was told by another resident, "This usually doesn't happen on this side of the building." Usually? Then about two weeks ago, the rear license plate was stolen off my car (only the rear though, why?). Of course, renting a garage would have prevented both.

Put in a request to view the apartment that I am now renting. Didn't have to fill out any paperwork until after the apartment was viewed. Filled out the paperwork with the wonderful agent and for to meet the office management which was the final decision to rent from them. Very wonderful setup at the Fox Run apartments. Quiet and clean and a place that I could rent from for years.
